Mission
Peace Lutheran Church is the gathering together of members and friends to proclaim the word of God, to witness to God's grace, and to be servants in accordance with the teaching of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Vision Statement
Bringing God's Peace to the Peace by the power of the Holy Spirit!
The establishment of Lutheran Church and congregation in Fort St. John goes back to 1930. At that time, Pastor Peter Ellington was serving in the South Peace area and added Fort St. John to his schedule as he saw the need. The first formal service was held in 1945. The first resident Pastor was Pastor Osborne Olson who served from 1945 to 1951.
The church we are in currently, was built in October 1980. This Church is dedicated to the glory of God.
Looking back at the road traveled by the Peace Lutheran congregation since 1945, there have been several times when there appeared a fork in the road. Pastors and congregation contemplated which way to go. They sought God's guidance and will. God has honoured their commitment to Him.
On the 24th of February 2008, the BC Synod installed
Rev. Dr. Kebede F. Dibaba as a
Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church. He has been serving the congregation since then.

Thank you!
THANK You Heavenly Father for Your abundant blessings to me and that You care about every detail of my life. Thank You for Your invitation to come to You with my burdens and You will give me rest. And thank You Father for Your unconditional love for me.
Thank You for forgiving me my sins and the healing forgiveness brings. Help me to be forgiving and to have forgiving love. Forgive me for focusing on myself and not enough on You. Lord I praise You that I live in Your grace and mercy because of Jesus my Savior. May my life reflect my joy at being Your forgiven child.
Jesus, I am grateful I can rely on You. You are unchanging, steady and trustworthy. Help me to practice what I learn from You, making Your truth, Your teaching, the foundation of my life. Help me build my life on You alone, my Rock. Help me to love and joyfully serve You each day and may my words and actions proclaim You.
I pray for all those who are graduating. Please lead and guide them and may they desire to build their lives on You alone. Thank You for the family who supported and encouraged them and the teachers who inspired them. Bless the use of their education and as they look for jobs, help them to find the employment they need and the needed accommodations.
Lord I pray for the emotional well-being of children with disabilities. May they experience love, acceptance and belonging. May those who are caring for them have wisdom, strength and the compassion to serve and care for them well. Please give them the wisdom they need for the many decisions they have to make.
Father, thank You for the work of the Holy Spirit that reveals to us the things we need to let go of and habits that need changing. Things that were once useful but now unused. Habits that hinder and now weigh us down and entangle us.
Thank You for the work of the Holy Spirit that uses the Word to bring people to faith and encourages those who already believe to know Him more.
I pray for our missionaries that they would be strengthen and encouraged through prayer to overcome the obstacles that Satan puts in their way. Lord, give them courage to face unique challenges and wisdom to effectively share Your Word.
Thank You for the joys and blessings of summer. May all who travel the roads drive with care, courtesy and compassion that all would arrive their destination in safety and good health.
In Your name I pray Amen.
