Peace Lutheran Church is the gathering together of members and friends to proclaim the word of God, to witness to God's grace, and to be servants in accordance with the teaching of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

About Us
Rev. Dr. Kebede F. Dibaba
The establishment of Lutheran Church and congregation in Fort St. John goes back to 1930. At that time, Pastor Peter Ellington was serving in the South Peace area and added Fort St. John to his schedule as he saw the need. The first formal service was held in 1945. The first resident Pastor was Pastor Osborne Olson who served from 1945 to 1951.
The church we are in currently, was built in October 1980. This Church is dedicated to the glory of God.
Looking back at the road traveled by the Peace Lutheran congregation since 1945, there have been several times when there appeared a fork in the road. Pastors and congregation contemplated which way to go. They sought God's guidance and will. God has honoured their commitment to Him.
On the 24th of February 2008, the BC Synod installed
Rev. Dr. Kebede F. Dibaba as a
Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church. He has been serving the congregation since then.

lord, thank You, for all the care You give me. So much of it I am not aware of and much I take for-granted. Forgive me Lord and may I truly have a grateful heart, giving thanks and praise to You for all You do for me and all You provide for me.
Lord God, thank You for my family. Where there is division and brokenness, may there be forgiveness and healing and love shared.
Lord, thank You for my friends. I pray that You would bless and guide us in Your ways and may our friendship honor You.
Lord God, may I have a desire to be in Your Word and be devoted to prayer and may my life bear fruit for You.
Thank You for the Connect Groups and the Ladies Seasonal Bible Study and other Bible Study Groups at Peace Lutheran Church. Open our hearts and minds to hear Your truths, speak Your truths and live Your truths.
Thank You Heavenly Father that Your Word, the Bible, is being translated in more and more languages. We pray for inspiration, guidance and perseverance for all who are involved in the translation process.
Thank You Lord Jesus for the finished work of the Cross.
Thank You that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, those who believe in You as their Lord and Savior. May our roots grow down into You and draw up nourishment from You.
Lord God, thank You for this special season in which we can celebrate in a special way
“HE IS RISEN”! May we never cease to celebrate the Good News as proclaimed by the Manager. May we never cease to celebrate the good news as proclaimed by the Cross. May we never cease to celebrate Your gift of love and forgiveness.
