Mission
Peace Lutheran Church is the gathering together of members and friends to proclaim the word of God, to witness to God's grace, and to be servants in accordance with the teaching of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Vision Statement
Bringing God's Peace to the Peace by the power of the Holy Spirit!

The establishment of Lutheran Church and congregation in Fort St. John goes back to 1930. At that time, Pastor Peter Ellington was serving in the South Peace area and added Fort St. John to his schedule as he saw the need. The first formal service was held in 1945. The first resident Pastor was Pastor Osborne Olson who served from 1945 to 1951.
The church we are in currently, was built in October 1980. This Church is dedicated to the glory of God.
Looking back at the road traveled by the Peace Lutheran congregation since 1945, there have been several times when there appeared a fork in the road. Pastors and congregation contemplated which way to go. They sought God's guidance and will. God has honoured their commitment to Him.
On the 24th of February 2008, the BC Synod installed
Rev. Dr. Kebede F. Dibaba as a
Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church. He has been serving the congregation since then.

Heavenly Father, as I enter a new month, thank You for welcoming me and walking with me. Nothing ahead will surprise You. You already know what I will walk through. Help me to hold Your hand tightly and to face each day trusting You.
Lord, I know that true satisfaction and joy come only from You – the giver of life. I pray against all the distractions of the enemy. Help me as I face daily the attacks on my time, attention and energy.
Thank You Lord that You are the model of unconditional love. Help me to extend the love You give me to others. Help me to be patient and kind, humble and loving, so that others will want to know You. Help me to be bold in my faith to love others well, and to live a life that honors You.
Lord God, forgive me when I mess up. Create in me a clean heart, and pure mind. And help me to run into Your loving arms instead of towards sin. Thank You that Your word tells us that Your commandments are right and bring joy to our hearts, and that Your commands are clear giving us insight for living. Help me to seek you daily, and be in Your word daily.
Thank You for all You have done in my life and all You are doing and going to do. Thank You for being my constant source of hope. In the midst of this chaotic world, help me to keep focused on the true Light of the world.
May Your light continue to shine forth into the darkness of this world. And may our leaders be inspired to make decisions that honor You and brings relief to all who are suffering and being tortured.
Thank You for all the saints who have gone on before us leaving us a legacy that encourages us to also be ever faithful to You.
Thank You for our Pastor who faithfully teaches us Your truths and guides us in them. And who is faithfully there for us in the midst of our challenges and pain. May we give encouragement to him and his family. May they have restful and refreshing sleeps and enjoy rich spiritual fellowship.
We praise You, we adore You. We worship You, King of kings, and Lord of lords, the one who is gentle and humble and gives rest for our souls, our Good Shepherd.
In Jesus name I pray with thankfulness, Amen
